Who is affected by the AI literacy obligation?
Since 2 February 2025, Art. 4 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on Artificial Intelligence (EU AI Act) has been in force. It requires providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among all staff dealing with the operation or use of AI systems – regardless of company size or industry. This does not automatically mean every employee, but specifically the people who actually work with AI systems or use their output.

What happens if we don't provide the training?
Art. 4 EU AI Act requires providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure sufficient AI literacy. Non-compliance can become relevant in the context of market surveillance.
Is the training available in English throughout?
Yes, this training is conducted entirely in English. The certificate of participation and checklist are also provided in English.
